North East conference with Rochdale Embroiderers Guild

Well I have had a lovely day at the North West region's conference.  After a cuppa on arrival I was shown around by Jan to have a look at the entries for the competitions including the young embroiderers. We were then treated to an early peek at the trade room. Well I couldn't resist and bought some lovely fabric and a new book. After a yummy lunch it was time to set up my work in the main hall. I was also invited to help judge the competition winners which was really difficult as all the work was fabulous.
Everyone began to fill the hall and take a peek at my work, the nerves were growing as Meg introduced me.
My hour seemed to fly by as I explained the journey I had been on and where the ideas for my work had originated. Everyone seemed to be enjoying it and as Jan waved to let me know time was nearly up it all came to an end.
Everyone gave me some lovely comments about the afternoon and that they had enjoyed it.
I hope to see everyone soon either at a show, talk or workshop.
Again I would like to thank Jan, Meg and the committee for a lovely afternoon and hopefully I will get some photos of the afternoon soon to add to mine.
